A Low-Cost Robust Front-end for Embedded ASR System
In this paper we propose a low-cost robust MFCC feature extraction algorithm which combines noise reduction and voice activity detection (VAD) for automatic speech recognition (ASR) system of embedded applications. To remedy the effect of additive noise a magnitude spectrum subtraction method is used. A VAD is performed to distinguish speech signal from noise signal. It discriminates speech/non...
متن کاملImplementation of Low-Cost Architecture for Control an Active Front End Rectifier
In AC-DC power conversion, active front end rectifiers offer several advantages over diode rectifiers such as bidirectional power flow capability, sinusoidal input currents and controllable power factor. A digital finite control set model predictive controller based on fixed-point computations of an active front end rectifier with unity displacement of input voltage and current to improve dynam...
متن کاملDesign of a Very Low-power, Low-cost 60 GHz Receiver Front-End Implemented in 65 nm CMOS Technology
The research on the design of receiver front-ends for very high data-rate communication in the 60 GHz band in nanoscale CMOS technologies is going on for some time now. While a multitude of 60 GHz front-ends have been published in recent years, they are not consequently optimized for low power consumption. Thus, these front-ends dissipate too much power for battery-powered applications like han...
متن کاملChaotic Behavior in Receiver Front-end Limiters
A delay nonlinear differential equation is proposed to investigate the condition of the microwave chaotic behavior existing between the antenna and the front-end protection circuit of a receiver such as the radar front-end limiter circuit. This investigation concerns the case of intentional or unintentional signals applied to the antenna outside of its bandwidth. Bifurcation diagrams show that ...
متن کاملWCDMA Direct Conversion Receiver Front End
This paper presents a 2.14GHz RF front end for Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) receiver. The receiver is based on direct conversion architecture and implements a low noise amplifier (LNA) and a quadrature mixer in 0.25μm CMOS process. The receiver achieves a noise figure (NF) of 8.93dB, provides a gain of 17.14dB, has an IIP3 of -15.04dB and dissipate 72.15mW at 2.5V.
